A LITTLE BIT ABOUT FNU
The Faroese Society for Nature and the Environment is a voluntary interest group, founded on Gregorian Mass Day in 1980. The founding general meeting was held in the Smokehouse in Kirkjubø. The reason for the establishment was that SEV had plans to use Fjallavatn in Vágar for electricity generation. The army managed to stop the plan, but unfortunately 13 years later, the story was different, when a power plant was built at Eiðisvatn.
